Medical

Children with diagnosed medical conditions should make their needs known to staff, particularly any allergies or life-threatening illnesses. If your child requires medication or an Epi-Pen, it should be provided by the parent and ideally kept here on the premises with the child. Written permission will be sought prior to administration and only medication with prescriptions can be administered. If your child has a serious condition or allergy, management will draw up a Critical care Plan which will need to be signed off on by parents and the child’s GP and will be updated on an annual basis.

Prescribed antibiotics can be administered by staff with written permission and detail from parents, once the child has been kept off for the first 48 hours of the illness.
